So my compie has decided to completely crash and turn itself off about every 20 minutes or so. I'm not sure what exactly the problem is as I don't get an error, not even a windows was shut down incorrectly message, but it could have something to do with the replacement liquid coolant system we put in. Something tells me that liquid coolant systems may not be the best idea in Okinawa, home of mold, mold, and more mold.

I spent most of the night making my character, now I'm too tired to continue the tutorials, lol. Thanks again for the trial run, Tan! I have to say it's not quite as overwhelming as it seems when you haven't even played it yet. :]
Posing for photos is fun, too. :D

Per a Facebook post by Guild Wars 2:
"Here are some answers and clarifications for you! First, if you purchase the game from https://buy.guildwars2.com/ you'll automatically be sorted into the right region.
And don't worry -- we want you to play with your friends wherever you are. This policy only affects where you can login from -- not which worlds you can access. People from NA will be able to play with people from EU at launch. We've got two datacenters -- one in NA and one in EU. Those who do not fall into either of those two regions will default to the NA datacenter.
Finally, we are aware that a lot of our players travel, and we are looking into a solution for you.
Hope that helps some! ~RB2"

I was just wondering if any of you are going to try out Guild Wars 2. I noticed a few of you already mentioned you would in Chunder's original post. If we have a large enough group, I think it would be cool to all roll on the same server. I know we have a lot of different time zones here, but if we can manage it it might be fun!

I never thought I'd pick up a game and see the names R.A. Salvatore, Todd MacFarlane, and Ken Rolston all packed together as designers. Ok, well, I guess I'm not as familiar with MacFarlane, but the other two made me do a double-take!
Let me start with an admission: I am horribad at console games. I am one of those people who just can't figure out how to gracefully tweak the dual joysticks and nimbly mash the buttons in order to prance about in-game and deliver powerful, concise killing blows. No, I stumble about, swing my fists wildly, and come out half dead, surrounded by a misshapen heap of corpses. Did I mention I'm probably still mashing those buttons about 5 seconds after the last mob has died? D:
This is why I generally stick to RPG console games such as Dragon Age. With these games I feel like I have more control, and I don't have to worry about making head shots vs. arm shots like I do in an FPS such as Borderlands. (More like missing the shot entirely, but that's another story.)
So when I saw that this still-packaged beauty had the three most important letters printed on it's case (R, P, and G.), I quickly snatched it up, unwrapped it, and popped it into our PS3.

Gormash's latest comic and the ensuing discussion got me thinking about this lovely introduction that Michael Crichton wrote to his very last, sadly unfinished book Micro in 2008. It discusses how it is ridiculous for us to expect our children to understand the real reasons behind nature conservationism and therefore even to care about the world around us due to their lack of understanding of nature itself. (My line of thought kind of went offroading from the original topic on Gormash's post, sorry.)
If you'd like to read, the unfinished essay follows. I thought it was very thought provoking, despite being unfinished. :D

So...just in case you all were wondering what it looks like over here, I present to you this wonderful music video done by a group of teens a couple of years ago! Movin' mah hips like yea!

After moving to Japan, Ross and I quickly discovered that WoW has become rather, well, boring due to the time differences, not to mention the fact that Kalecgos is as dead as a dinosaur. So, we decided to transfer a character each over to an Oceanic server and try to find a raiding guild. We decided on Aman'Thul after being awestruck by the amount of people talking in Trade and General Chats. (More than the one to two people who talk in it on Kalecgos during the night...)
