The one and only

Well, I picked up TR a few weeks ago, as a replacement for WoW (my wife and I got way too addicted, sort of feeding off each other)

I'm enjoying it so far, the thing that I really really like is... solo instances. Yup, instances that scale based on how many in the party, how awesome is that. They can be tough as well.

I'm playing a guardian, up to level 34 right now.

no-one else playing it?

I used to play, but closed the account since I played too many games and had to prioritize. I may very well reopen the account at a later time and have some more fun.

I chose the specialist path and plan on ending as a xenobiologist, but I've only reached level 14 so far.
And I wholeheartedly agree about the instances. I've only enetered two so far, and they are simply amazing!

I played it for a while too and thoroughly enjoyed it. The game had some awesome elements to it, but I found there was just too big a hump to cross around level 10. The difficulty ramped up quite a bit and unless you're grouping regularly you'll be left behind. And by then WoW was calling once more so ...

Still on level 34, it seems the last 3 instances I have been in have had a bugged out quest. I still love it though, I spent most of last night going through uster base and maligo yard - to shut down the bane wormhole. In one area you are around the wormhole, this thing is a glowing ball like the evil planet from fifth element (a bit brighter), it is just a stunning sight.

I have to go back to re-do one of the quests (support gave me a crazy chain to follow so I dont bug the quest out). Once you leave an instance, all the instance quests fail and you have to start again any that you didnt complete. I'll grab a SS of the wormhole, it's truly impressive.

Yeah, a screenshot would be wicked. There are some elements of the game I loved. The respawn mechanism for one, that was genius. And I loved the idea that bases could be won and lost to the enemy and that the war kept on running even if nobody was playing in the zone. It's a well put together title.

It wasnt my cup of tea tbh. I played it for a little while and regret the money I spent buying it. Oh well....

I seem to be a bit fickle regards to games these days. They all seem to lack that "certain something" I am looking for. So far I have paid for and rejected / cancelled:

EvE Online
LoTRO
Tabula Rasa

I used to be a die hard UT player and that kind of died in me, same with HL2DM, Guild Wars & WoW, and even Gears of War. I am hoping Mythos will kindle a spark in me but I somehow think that will not be what Im looking for. At least Mythos is free.

If you liked UT and HL2DM, have you given consideration to CoD4? I haven't played in quite some time, but that is a great game! Obs and I both play, along with quite a few people in my guild and a few others we have met through the official WoW forums

I think.... this forum can be shut down. :)

And it was efectively just that, what with the last post being about 18 months ago... Well, until you pointed out that it should be shut down, that is. ;)

I just found it fitting that the only post was called "The one and Only".
I think between tan's jedi powers and justin's future-reading the oceanic portion of this world will rule supreme.

I miss this game. Badly.
