Blizzard: Working on ability to transfer faction
Apparently Blizzard is working on the ability to switch factions in a similar manner that character renaming and switching server works. You can read about it on the Euro forums HERE.

Seriously, I predict a LOT of bugs and disapointments for the people using this service. Most likely all their quest-completed count will drop to 0, invalidating all your work for achievements. Reputation will probably be a nightmare.
It's an interesting choice though, and while it won't be the most used feature there WILL be people that'll use it and love it. I also believe Blizz will be observant enough not to allow transfers from low to high population factions.
Here's the thing. Blizzard, crazy as they might be, seem to have a REAL grasp of their players and what they want. I know they miss things, I know they can do a shitload more, but I was SO impressed when I logged on this morning.
Visually World of Warcraft cannot compare to Age of Conan. But they have put together such a compelling chunk of features that blend together SO nicely. It is amazing when you look at it.
Just the mailbox icon with the hover over. That. That just made me smile.
