Right then, important detail - this ain't my vid.
Secondly, it's important (imo) to watch this in HD.
And, lastly, with regard to the final 15 or seconds of the video I have this to say: ZOMG BAZOOMS!
:D
[note: i thought this game sounded vaguely familiar, as did the opening appearance of the start zone. this is me /facepalming after searching through our posts here and discovering Aion shares GW team. hehe.]

Those last 15 seconds? I am somehow irresistably reminded of a dead heat in a zeppelin race. However, he's bang on about the awesomeness of the look, generally.
He DID show us some of the game's biggest advantages (pardon the pun) and bugs.
Still, I'm VERY tempted by it despite the bugs he's so graphically pointed out here.
Meh wanna fly sky-high!
ZOMG its fony!

Well As Im at work, I had to watch the video in a letterbox sized window, no sound & no HD graphics. So I might have missed the entire point of the video.
However all I can say is that watching it made me:
a) want to play Guild Wars again so much it hurts my stomach
b) want to buy Aion more than ever.
Okay so I watched it with sound on last night, then watched a half a dozen more different Aion videos...Just seeing the landscapes etc makes me ache to play this game.
Crazy Fool son came over and said "oh Ive seen some of these Aion videos Dad. It looks a bit like WoW and Warhammer"....I just looked at him with my "you poor innocent child" smile and said "It looks like Guild Wars son"
I have fond memories of Guild Wars. Some of the places you could get to were so awesome. I remember walking along the shoreline in the Ring of Fire marvelling at it all...
portions of it reminded me of the area around Thunderhead Keep, others the Hot Springs.
i miss GW, some of it. i miss hunting down a boss and tapping its corpse after with a Signet of Capture in order to leech its "special skill". i also miss the old school W(arrior)/Mo(nk) build that would often have people referring to you as Leeroy, before many of us (hi there) knew who the hell Leeroy was (as in, those of us who were WoW ignorant - again, hi there).
mostly, however, i think what made my GW experience rock was the community since both US and EU players could inhabit the same areas. (it also made quibbling over who had Halls, i think it was called Halls..of something, favor in order to farm shards, that much more interesting in /general). le sigh.
Gods the Hall of Heroes arguments! HOW did those rage day to day eh! Good times, good times. And the best forums evah! Do you remember that German guy ... the one that made me nerd rage so much? The one that was so violently anti World of Warcraft?
