Branching Out; Kung Foo Style

So as some of you may have noticed I have made myself a blog away from here. Don't blame me - its all Stigg & Gormash's fault for letting me see their sites and I thought to myself "I'd like to do that". I have no plans to leave and never post on the Temple again as I am expecting my new blog will have more things which you guys won't be massively interested in...although I hope I'm wrong and you'll come on by to visit & read plus I plan to put up a load more pics over the following week.

One thing I have noticed myself doing is following links in other peoples blogs, reading a bit, then following another link from their site, and on and on. Its really fun to do a lot of the time (yeah sometimes you hit a dead end or a boring one) and quite amazing some ofthe stuff you'll find. Last night I started off in Stigg's blog, and about 10 or so links later I was looking at surgical supports & prosthetic limbs!!

So thats all I wanted to say really. Call it a self promoting plug - because thats what it is :)

:) Do you have a gmail account? Blogger (a google product) has a great image manager called Picasaweb (a google product) which allows you to very quickly and easily upload and insert images, slideshows and videos directly from your computer to the blog. And blogger also has an "html mode" that allows for a bit tighter management of what things look like as well.

Keep up the good work Chunder!

Yes I've used Gmail for some years now - in fact I have 3 accounts depending on what I'm doing, one for personal, one for games sites, and one for competitions (when I remember to do them as I rarely win stuff). Trouble is that our security at work prevents a lot of things from working or showing i.e the pic I have of me on the blog doesnt show up from work so I need to do most of it from home.

A lot of the things are just Greek to me however so the thing I like about Blogger is that its simple to use straight out of the can, and gives a very polished look.

Thansk very much for taking the time to comment on the posts Stigg. It makes it feel more worthwhile when I know someones looking :)

:) Anytime. Getting comments for things you write makes people want to write more, which is why I tend to always try to write at least a little tiny something for each person that posts here. If you like something, even if you don't really have much to say about it, leaving a quick little note is a great way of saying "Hey, I read what you spent the time to share with us and I appreciate it!"

I wrote a little post whoring you, gorm, and Etherial's blogs/comics on mine so my massive (read: you) audience can come visit you as well!

And since we are whoring eachother out right now, a little shout out to Etherial's (Mike/Stridar's girlfriend) blog about being a female gamer HERE

But keep it up. Write about anything. Your recipe sounds delicious and I would love to read more of those! Hearing about your biking is great and it lets you keep a good track of what you have done. A few of the ones I follow (and mine started to) kept track of how far I rode each day, each month, and each year. The MNBicycleCommuter rode the equivalent of the diameter of the earth last year. It gives you good inspiration to keep going.

Anyways, yay for more things to read throughout the week!

I'd say you've gotten into a damn fine start. Keep it up, and when I see something I actually know something about (i.e. not bikes or food) I might just give you a couple of words on the blog. ^_^

I didn't know that your old avatar actually was a self-portrait :)
