Zelda Marathon

Awhile back, I believe we posted about a Legend Of Zelda Marathon. It happened around New Years and the idea was a live broadcast of a group of people playing through all the Zelda games. Kinda cool... ya know, to get to see some of those old school games.

What I didn't realize was that they were doing it for charity. The people behind it, Extra Lives were not simply broadcasting their nostalgic runs, they were attempting to raise $2,000 for an organization called Free the Children. Apparently, the support they got was tremendous and their $2,000 goal was quickly passed. In the end, they raised over $12,000. Which is enough to build a school house in Ecuador.
