Welcome to the Hanes Gwyn, an unfinished story that has been developing on The Black Temple for a while.
Because Stigg and Gormash will probably Rick Roll me if I don't, I'm collating all of the story episodes as PDF's into this blog post, from beginning to end, so they can be picked up handily by the E-book people. You can blame my overdeveloped wish to build suspense for not handing them all out at the beginning.
As the proverb goes: Arfer yw hanner y gwaith. "Practice is half the work" and it is certainly true that revising this material for an audience has improved it considerably, especially in regard to my persistant mangling of the conventions of punctuation. It's been a learning experience. With the addition of later work, I have also expanded this page to allow browsing in chapter order, for those so inclined to do so.
The chapters so far, as links, in order.

Awesome piece of work Vittorio!
Thanks!
I only have till part 12 from before, so this'll be a welcome addition. I know I've not been the best person to comment on your work (far from it in fact), but rest assured that I think you write very well indeed. :)
Thanks for the pdfs! I will download them when I get home! Glad to have you around and very very glad you wrote the story, it has been a wonderful read and a great way to distract myself for 10-15 minutes when I need it! Make sure you poke your head in every once in awhile as we all get caught up reading it and perhaps have a few questions.
I have been reading a bit of Robinson Crusoe and have to say your writing style and Daniel Defoe's are remarkably similar.
Thanks again!
I am proud to be able to contribute to your work productivity decrement!
My similarity to Defoe must be either a coincidence caused by first person usage + slightly archaic language, or there's some very unconcious modelling going on there, as I think the last time I read him was when I was around 12 years old, and I can't remember anything from the book at all, now. Maybe I'll have to go back and read him again to check.
Please do ask questions if there is anything that you'd like to know more on. A little research went into it :-) For example: there really was a silent sign language used within monasteries at that time, as Gwyn uses to communicate with Nicole early on in the story.
Aye, the modelling is mostly due to a very internal-monologue driven with religious/honorable undertones writing technique. The silent language was neat, although I more or less interpreted it as a simple form of sign language.
Got shipwrecked. Lived on an island. Had a good mate called Friday.
I've perma-linked this post under 'Blogs & Co'
Woot! I made the Sidebar! Thanks, Justin.
