Brda - Undead Rogue - Frostmane server, I think. I have crossed to the other side. The pull was forever strong, the temptation always there, now I've gone and done it. Eek!
Do you guys really feel there is that much of a difference between alliance and horde? I have played mostly alliance, but I have some horde characters near the lv 30s and what I've seen so far isn't really different from the things I've seen on alliance side.
No...imo, it's just something someone says when they are proud of their faction? But as far as differences go in GENERAL between horde and ally? No i see no difference. However differences between horde and ally on SPECIFIC servers, there could POSSIBLY be differences. That's how i see it anyways =). Server to server basis.
I played ally on another server, and rerolled on a horde on a different server and found them to be more helpful than the ally on my other server, but that's not because they were ally and the new people i play with are horde, it's purely based on server. If that makes sense?
I half agree with Nickster, but also not. I am by no means spread across all the servers, in fact my experiences are restricted to two. However, on both of those servers the differences between Horde play and Alliance play was very evident.
In the first instance, the Horde players were always better geared. Still are. I've been tracking people on the Armory and in general, on Venture Co, you can look at the participants in a Halaa fight. Of the 15 strong Alliance team maybe 30% would be in PvP epics. The Horde typically outnumbers us by 2 to 1 and they will have the reverse in PvP epics. Mostly Arena gear. It is quite scary to see that sea of red approaching and knowing that 60% of them will likely be epicced out in Arena gear.
The second instance I can only speak for based on observation and by comparing two servers. As an Alliance player on VentureCo it is very difficult to get a team together for any quest. As a Horde player on Lightninghoof you can snap your fingers and have a team together in five minutes. I've been ganked and then camped on VentureCo where an appeal on LocalDefense would be met with "L2PvP noob". On Lightninghoof my experience was the polar opposite. If you put something on LocalDefense you can be almost guaranteed that somebody will arrive to help. Either they'll be in the same level range as you, and you'll both die / win as things happen. Or they'll be a high level player who obliterates everything and then camps them for a bit, just to reinforce the point. It is a noticeable difference.
But then I also see more Alliance players solo and more Horde players running together. The Horde just seems to stick together and play as a team much better than the Alliance does. It's a generalization, but that's what I've seen across two servers.

Welcome to the darkside! It's much nicer here =)
I wish my friend had rolled horde before we joined him.
HORDE FTW!
Prepare to experience World of Warcraft the way it was meant to be experienced.
