Mashiem the (not so) Magnificent
I've never been one for raiding as it sounds more like a job than a stressrelieving pastime. Nor have I been a great PvPer, mainly because I've not seen the point in it. And since I'm already at 70 there's not much leveling going on until the next expansion comes.
Which means I've been at loss for something to do with my main.
Well, no more...
I started PvPing just for the heck of it a few days ago and are already well on my way to get some Gladiator gear. My poor Mashiem is in some dire need of better equipment, and this seemed like the best way to get it.
By the way, after I followed Aerath's advice and got myself Elemental-specced I've had a drastic increase in killrate, honor gain and survivability. Thanks. ^_^

Sounds like you got yourself together! Getting the PVP pieces is very very easy, just do a few a nite and before long you will be set!

My own shaman dinged level 68 yesterday. I'll be grinding a few BGs at 69 for the marks as I really intend to equip her with two Gladiator Axes the minute she dings 70 =)

My first piece in a Gladiator set is mine, ALL mine!
And it even had a +5 range to shock spells which I hadn't noticed before. A nice surprise.
And I got it enchanted with +10 spell critical rating.
Not a huge deal, but it's a good start. :D
I would personally go for +20 spelldmg there instead of the crit. Spell crit rating is both more expensive in the item budget (compare the rare gems: +8 spell crit vs +9 spell dmg) and less useful in PvP due to the large amounts of resilience everyone is carrying these days. Of course, the enchant is somewhat more expensive.
Mashiem is looking nice. I love that hammer, Gormash! How are you going on in the Battlegrounds so far?
Been a week or two since I last played in BGs since I've been busy leveling a druid (Umbranex, feral) , but I jumped straight into it again today, and the bodies were many. The first fight was an AV battle where around 30 hordies were defending between the towers, and I've seldom had such a blast. ^_^
No wonder, but we won by reducing their reinforcements. And I got 123 HK from that battle and 13 killing blows. Fun fun fun! ^_^
