Besting the Purple Dragonflight!

After a whole day's down time to introduce Ruby Sanctum to the wonderful world of Kellogs, my guild, decided to hop right in and give it a go.

...Or not. As we quickly found out, Halion on 25 man takes a LOT of coordination, which we happened to lack that night. So we headed back after the Fourth of July holiday on July 6 and butted our heads with the Purple Dragonflight.

...Well, Halion IS purple!

WoW: Brilliance or Insanity - Multi-Boxing a 40-man Raid

Right, so you've read the header and, my guess, you're sitting there and wonderin' what I'm on about yeah?

Short of the long of it: Xzin to Take on...a Very Large Endeavor

I was trying to not imagine, say, 35 affliction 'locks (or destro locks, for that matter).
Or, shady priests.
Or...or...yeah.

Gruul down!

Last night I we went to Gruul's Lair to take out HKM and his friends and to give it a few good shots at Gruul. We really didn't think we'd have much chance of getting him all the way, but we were determined to use it as a practice event.

World News: (belated Christmas) Santa Raid in NZ

"HO-FREAKIN'-HO"

Was listening to local 720 AM radio (WGN) and heard them laughing over this story.

Funny enough, apparently there was a similar incident back in 2005 out in Auckland as well. Sooooo, Tan - what gives? ;)

VeCo: Blacktooth Grin meet Alliance in Mystic Ward

As I was saying, wonders never cease.

I had landed at IF with the intent of locating one Bimble Longberry, purveyor of items suitable to feed one of my pets. As I rounded the corner I heard quite a number of unhappy sounding "ungh" and "hiyah" noises (which, for some absurd reason, make me snicker). It was shortlived, I believe I caught the tail-end of a scuffle, only the floor knew the whole of the matter - and what a story it could tell, if only that were possible. (see attached)

My precious

Finally!
At long last I have FINALLY aquired the key to Onyxia's Lair!
It was a long and not particularly hard way, but it was worth it. Now I can FINALLY slay me one of the great dragons.

Yes, I like my new key, my precious necklace.
And no-one will take it from us, oh noooes, they will not, not my precioussss...
It was a gift, yes it was, our preciousss birthday-giftsesss, yes yes...

To Ironforge!

Sithilus is spooky. Those swarms of maddened insects, the crystals hammered into the ground and the ever present Twilight Cultists. And the sound - a constant drone in the background that keeps your nerves tightly strung. But with the lack of fearable mobs in the Plaguelands this is my one choice of area to grind in now. But in my adventures a something dropped a Skull Splitting Crossbow. Very nice and sold for 15gp on the Auction House. Within about 10 minutes of me posting it, so I suspect I probably underpriced it. The only quests still available are the group ones, which I will hopefully polish off tonight. I had a brief stab at Deathlasher, but my Howl of Terror did not bite the first time so that turned out to be a little disaster. Just a small one. So 59, another 11 levels to go and 35 nights to do it in. Eep!

The Sunken Temple

Sunday morning dawned to a quiet house. The whole of Preston Avenue was quiet except for the wind and the odd spatter of rain. My bed was nice and warm and there was preciously little incentive to actually get up and do something. Except for this delectable diversion called World of Warcraft. So some coffee, a smoke and a few pages of some random fantasy novel later I was ready to delve into the game. And Syllystra showed up around noon with a big box of fruity alcoholic drinks, so we fired up two of the machines and started playing. Our first step was to get the hang of Omen. And this is where I really need your help!
